Thermotherapy Paraffin Bath Overview

In 1950’s doctors start using paraffin wax to help their patients ease arthritis pain. Three decades later paraffin wax became widely used in beauty salons as a cosmetic procedure because of this petroleum-based product hydrates and softens skin while coating the skin’s surface.

But I’m more interested in paraffin wax treatment that helps with arthritis pain and stiff joints. And because I have a family member that suffers from osteoarthritis, I was very curious, how this thermotherapy can help my mother-in-law. So I went online and bought Therabath Professional Thermotherapy Paraffin Bath.

You Get What You Paid For

Well, this bath is not cheap, but I always say: You get what you paid for. First of all this unit 100% USA made. Materials are great, looks and feel very good. It has 6 to 9 lb. Wax Capacity, its deep enough to put your foot or your elbow or both hands (not in the same time of course),  allows you to immerse the hand or foot farther into the wax and cover a larger area of the body.

And they call it Professional for a reason. This unit was designed to be used in physical therapy and doctors offices so it has all safety features for hospital use.

The Therabath Paraffin runs in an “always safe” temperature range and is designed to maintain the desired therapeutic temperature range of 126 to 132 degrees Fahrenheit. Two internal thermostats ensure that you will never immerse into wax that is too hot. In addition, the unit safely runs 24 hours per day.

The tank is made out of aluminum which makes it lightweight, also the unit has integrated handles which comes handy when you want to move it to another room. The company website claims that this unit is handmade and only one on the market that made in the United States. I don’t know about you, but in my family, we always have a big respect for companies that keep jobs in the US. We try to look for products that made in the US rather than other countries. And you are going to agree with me, they’re not too many around.

This unit has a 5-year limited warranty which is a nice touch,  not many companies offer such a long warranty, usually its one year at most.  Almost forgot, comes with 6 lbs of Refill Paraffin Wax.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Great material, nice craftsmanship, easy to clean, no temperature settings needed( automatically runs on safe temperature always, you don’t have to guess)

Cons: Don’t have On/Off switch, According to manual you can always leave this unit on, just like your refrigerator. I don’t know if some people would like that.

It’s Conclusive

Therabath Professional Thermotherapy Paraffin Bath ROCKS! And my mother-in-law loves it.

Only the best for moms, right?
