  2. First of all, love your site, it looks great! And so much good info! Personally, i no longer buy into the notion that there is a ‘season to be sick’, so really it’s about keeping up immunity year ’round, and managing stress, to avoid getting sick at any time. I love all the things you mention, and I have often used concoctions with raw garlic, raw honey, various herbs etc, it really does help to feel better. Quality concentrated supplements are great when you want a quicker fix, like turmeric, ginger, cayenne etc. I have started drinking fermented cabbage juice as a means of keeping the entire digestive tract cleansed and fortified with probiotics, it does wonders for the immune system also.

  6. I have read with great interest your well-documented post. I have been struck by how many functions of the body can be affected due to the right or poor functioning of the immune system. I think most people only think of it as a system against infections, but it seems to be something much more complicated. I have read somewhere, for example, that there is a substantial relationship between the immune system and the gut microbiota that can even change people’s moods or cognitive abilities. It’s fascinating! Thank you!

Basically, we can look at immunity as a very complicated, state of the art alarm system, which is connected to all our other systems and have a communication line open with all of them. And when a virus or illness strikes each system gives us a warning sign, but unfortunately, we sometimes do not know how to read them properly.
